Will the GTR go the way of the NSX, RX8, others?

My biggest concern, and I've maintained before I ever read that article, is simply the GT-R is a very niche-market car. It's not widely known here, and it is priced in a no-mans-land price bracket even at list, having no brand/badge exclusivity to speak of.
BTW, WTF happened to NAGTROC???

I second this. I am part of the PS generation, I love racing, and I love Japanese cars. Ever since I visited Japan as a kid I was blown away by the Skylines on the streets and on the racing circuits. Forget what anyone else thinks. It is finally here, and it is finally my turn to take the opportunity.

I'm convinced it will sell out initially. I'm not totally convinced it will endure the length of it's generation cycle here in the USA. People in this country seem to have ADD when something new and flashy emerges in the automotive world.
The public is fickle and often contradictory. They will say "man, we need something new and innovative.... all of the cars are so typical and bland..." and then when this new thing arrives... is ignored and eventually discontinued, with people actually preferring ultimately the bland and the expected.
I'll be driving the GT-R regardless as I'm the exception to the rule, the freak, and the non-conformist.
