Today's Edmunds video is very nice as it shows some hot laps of the GTR @ Sears Point.....
" Hand-timed lap numbers showed the two cars (GTR and 997 Turbo) circling the track at an almost identical 1:50.00 pace."

if I knew the GTR was in Laguna Seca I would have drove there just to catch a glimpse.

Well the upside is it looks like the wraps are coming off!

That last Edmunds article from Laguna Seca had some pics of the engine and interior.

From the pics:

** Test car was right hand drive (hmmm....)
- Looks like it is a twin turbo V-6
- Paddle shifters behind the wheel
- The steering wheel looks similar in style to the one in my R32 GTR (Cooool!)

a 1:39 is a quick lap at laguna for a street car. 996gt3s on r-compounds typically run in the 40s.
