GTR versus Z06
#51
The best sports car from the four main automobile manufacturing countries:
U.S.A.: Chevrolet Corvette Z06
Germany: Porsche 911 Turbo
Italy: Ferrari F430
Japan: Nissan GT-R
Now that is a very interesting matchup. Two RWDs and two AWDs, two V8s and two twin-turbo six cylinders, two two-seaters and two four-seaters, three front engine and one rear engine, all two door, all with 470hp+ and 0-60 mph under 4 seconds.

Hey all
Thought I would chime in. I can tell you I have had my eye on the Skyline for... 10 years. I saw the first R34's at Ginza, and have been following them ever since. I travel to japan very often. I get to see them quite allot, in the flesh, and have love the "Ballistic Refrigerator" for its looks. I also enjoyed the Supra vs GTR stuff... as it is allot like the US with Mustang vs Camaro.
Anyway... I am waiting to see. I have a deposit down on the ZR1, as I think it will hold a value better than the GTR. But I wont keep my eye off it. Cant wait to see one at a HPDE.

I would argue that the GTR will hold value more simply based off my opinion that this car will see limited production in the US...meaning it will likely only be around for 2-3 years with limited models each year. I hope that I'm wrong and that the GTR will remain available in our market...but I just think it's too spendy for Nissan to support this car in America.
