FYI: Transmission Overheating Issue

For those of you planning to track your GT-Rs often you will find this helpful. I took my GT-R to the track for the first time yesterday at Streets of Willow (Willow Springs, CA). It was about 90 degrees at the hottest part of the day, and during this time is when I had my transmission overheat and go into limp mode after doing 12 laps (the transmission basically put itself in AUTO mode and upshifted to 6th gear and would not downshift until it cooled off). This is going to be a problem for everyone, and only get worse as track temps get higher in the summer so I am going to buy this tranny cooler I found online:

http://gt-rr.com/gt-r/r35/willall/pa...cooler/pid/510

I will post results of this mod once I get it installed and get back out to the track, should be within a month or so. Hope this helps... Happy tracking!
