when i think of this, i think of the progress bmw has made, they offer through dinan, a (albeit very expensive) tuning package for the 335i, some companies are going more in one way, and others more in the other (of pro vs. anti tuning)
What is Dinan? Is this like AMG or Gemballa or RUF?

It does seem that Nissan's GT-R is evolving more into this kind of "tuner" car, a higher-end kind of tuning that excludes middle-of-the-road tuning. It's an all-or-nothing kind of expensive package "boutique" tuning direction.

That's how I'm interpreting the recent changes anyway.
