3.5ltr V6 TT, and going by its renault brother the nepta, i think we can safely say it will feature the same 7-speed auto paddle shifter featured in it. I say this as if you listen to the spy video released, u can clearly hear the auto transmission rather than a manual.
sorry im new to this site, this has probably been covered a million times before, i was just a bit suprised when i saw this post.

The GT-R will be coming to this year's LA Auto Show. A near production model will be shown there. So not to long from now we'll get to see what the new front end will look like. Also i'd like to share with you all a spy video of the GT-R.

Interesting news that they claim the GTR did a lap time 7:58. First, do you guys think this is a credible source for the time, and more importantly, will the car get faster closer to production since this was their first time testing on the Nurburgring?
Don't get me wrong, 7:58 is a very respectable time (15 seconds faster than my M5), but a time closer to 7:52 would really shake up the car industry.....Just think if the GTR runs the Nurburgring circuit as fast as a Ford GT, Mercedes SLR and faster than Ferrari F430

No way flames are coming out of a stock exhaust, equiped with modern catalytic converters, especially on a 50 state legal tune for 2008 emissions standards. I seriously doubt the car is anywhere near stock!
A 7:58 time for the ring sounds a little fast, but possible. We still don't know the true weight and power figures. My guess is that the ring car is not yet in production trim or tune. Once it is tuned for emissions and street civility it will likely lose some power and gain a bit of weight.
It's competition has already set some tough numbers to follow. Here is a previous post regarding ring times for the new production C6 Corvette ZO6:

After only a few laps and a scorching 7:40 time Jan Magnusen was quoted as saying he had had enough. Those speeds were too dangerous in a non-race prepared car. He reportedly caught serious air cresting a rise at one point on the track leading to his comments.
