Worried about delays for Super Silver

I like Super Silver and am willing to pay the rip-off $3K to get it, but I worry about the additional delays that this may cause. Nissan is limiting production of Super Silver and will bump my order if too many people order Super Silver.

Anyone have any insight as to whether the "potential" delay is real? I'm not sure how popular that color will be, given the premium they charge.

That's kind of the point: why pay a premium to "get it now/soon" and then pay $3K on top only to have it delayed a bunch. OTHOH, if I am going to drop all this money, I might as well get exactly what I want.

I talked to dealer and he thinks I will know in a month whether there will be a delay. If no delay, it will be August build for September delivery.

Dirito Bros in Concord. $15K over. Stupid, I know-- but not bad given the hype and scarcity of the car. I was actually expecting $25K over.

I'm curious to see whether this thing is really faster than my 997TT around the track.

Quick update: just got confirmation that I grabbed a build slot in August WITH Super Silver (one of the last such slots available for the limited color).
