If you'd like to read a very comprehensive review of the GT-R, pickup the current EVO magazine. They compare it against the Z06 for straight line speed; the R8 for daily livability and against the GT3 for all out track performance. Guess which car wins? OP: if you love the vette so much, why are you here instead of preaching to the choir over on the Vette forums?

Ahhh.. Gentlemen atleast you finally agree with me and understand the FACT that a Zo6 Corvette will spank a Gtr from a roll or a dead stop from 0 or 5 or 25, 70 100 or 120 -193mph!.......... Were making progress!
Now the education continues..........
You must aslo realize and Be aware or forewarned that a regular Corvette will Spank the GTr in a street race or rolling start...... A Zo6 in a street race.... the Zo6 will pass the GTr like its standing Still! But I'm talking a Regular Corvette!
I know this truth will be hard for you to accept but don't hate the messenger of truth!!!
Again I doesn't make a difference if the engine makes 900 HP at the crank its what it puts to the wheel that matters.
Regular Corvette........... 436HP crank 390HP to the wheels......3200lbs
Production GTr............... 480Hp crank 426Hp to the wheels......3900lbs+
Regular Corvette has a 34 HP advantage to the wheels vs Gtr due to GTr HEFT!
In a street Race from a roll at 5mph 35mph 90mph or even 130mph-193mph the Regular Corvette will Pull Hard on the GTr or SPANK it as you guys like to say!
I know this truth hurts but, its true.

Have you ever launched an AWD car? If not, I want to see you go launch an AWD car without launch control...not as easy as it looks when watching someone that knows what they're doing. Launch control does make it simple though. It's nothing like launching a nice RWD car...there's a lot more punishment if you're not refined in launching.
I have launch both the Evo and the Sti before and there is no drama for me.

You can modify anything to beat anything.
I would hope after shelling out almost $90,000 for your ride it would be enough.
Stock for stock the truth still stands wether in black in white as Car and Driver confirmed the production GTr loses from a dead stop to wahatever speed 1/4mile etc. to the Zo6!

A 3900lb car with a lower Hp to weight ratio will lose to the REGULAR Corvette. Just to tie a regular production vette: to equal the WHP per weight of the Regular Vette, the nissan would have to add 35WHP. To be even from a roll with a Z06 the Nissan will have to add almost 100Wheel Hp to equall the Zo6!
Don't even get me started on the list of stock cars with a better power to weight ratio that would pull on a stock GTr, from a roll..... ....Hmmm 07, 08 Shelby Mustang....Viper....Even 03 to 04 Cobra MUstangs have better power to weight ratios!!!
Ohh if you wanna see irelivant modded car vs car on u-tube view 04 Cobra mustang Kenne Belle vs ANYTHING!!!
