the R35 likes to slide alot! the its a mostly rear wheel drive car. dissabling the VDC will allow the car to slide around. thus the need for more downforce in my opinion.

they will need more in the front to make it better balanced aswell.

I'm not debating that the rear end doesn't need down force. I do agree the rear end could stand to get more downforce. What I am saying does it need that much. Basically is that wing over kill.

i couldnt tell you exactly. i would guess NO. because the cuircets these guys are racing on will probably benifit from it. my best guess. any other course and it wouldnt work as well.

your exactly right tho, i doubt this tuner tested this design in wind tunel to know exactly what it will do.

i mean it's huge, and it looks like the sorta sky high wing that you see on neons and civics

Sure, wings are a drag no matter what. It's the trade-off in gained pounds of downforce that makes large wings, with larger surface areas, worth the added drag.

I'm wondering why that wing isn't boxed in to maximize the vortex creation to focus the low pressure zone below the top surface of the wing as you see on F1 cars. From my layperson's perspective, the open sides would dissipate the low pressure zone, compromising the downforce.

Maybe it's purely aesthetic. And maybe it actually works just fine, my theory holding no merit.

I like the old skool GT-R offset front grille badge. That's from the KPGC10 Hako-suka days, circa 1971. Nice to see them carrying the heritage forward.
