GT-R rules

i just wanted to get a feeling of what you guys are hoping for from the GT-R. ideally i could get myself in a postion to buy one but like another member said i am not gonna eat shells and cheese/ ramen for nothing. imho it needs to be a better car (not just agility, but speed, handling, power to weight, ect) than a few other cars i can think of. it also needs boost.(i am not sure if the NA V8 rumor has been totally put to sleep yet) a list of cars it needs to outperform is a good way to start. if it cant (when it comes) fight with these cars, the whole idea should be trashed and they should stick to making quest minivans. add accordingly, keeping in mind the sticker is estimated at near 70K.

subaru STi
evo 9 (mivec)
evo 8 (my current car)
06 chevy corvette Z06 (keep reading really, really good things about this)
Bmw M5 (tough to beat all around)

i will add more later, and it doesnt have to be a better car in all aspects but it needs a chance, with little or no mods. just wanted to see what you guys as enthusiast or even potential owners think/want. thanks.

JOSH

the GTR is competing directly with the Porsche 996 GT-3, and then going beyond that benchmark. unmodified, this level of performance will easily compete with above listed cars, if not outlcass them.

GTR will be twin turbo.

production version R34 GTR Z-Tune of this year is faster than McLaren F1.

GTR will be lighter than any current FM platform vehicle: FX, G35, Z.

GTR will be a supercar that will re-establish dominance and prestige to that nameplate.

keep in mind, Porsche does not justify to the masses charging well over $100,000 for one of their cars.

and this GTR is going to be globally offered. like Porsche and Ferrari and Lotus.

see this post i just made. post number 9:
