Houston Performance Driving & Performance Driving Network is stepping up to the plate this holiday season and will be collecting toys for the kids @ MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital. We formally ask everyone* and anyone* that reads this forum to please get involved in this toy drive. These kids are fighting everyday to stay strong and focused while receiving their treatments. Some of these kids are not from Houston and have very little to no family here while at the hospital. These families have stretched their finances to the limits in getting their children the best medical care possible. More than anything these parents want to give them the best Christmas possible. Houston Performance Driving & Performance Driving Network is asking the Import/Domestic forums and clubs to join together for a wonderful cause.




I. The Mission:

- It is our goal here at Houston Performance Driving & Performance Driving Network to make the biggest impact possible for these kids/young adults at MD Anderson. With your help we can make some very sick kids have a wonderful Christmas. Because for the generosity of the people that visit Houston Performance Driving & Performance Driving Network. Together with the other car clubs/forums we can give these kids the support, and love they need to continue the fight. With in the this goal set forth. We are truly determined to collect and donated more toys then any organization in the Houston Area. Again we ask for for ALL forums and clubs to support this endeavor!

- In the last 6 years Houston Performance Driving with the help of Houston Cars & Coffee, auto forums, speed shops, auto clubs, and you the enthusiast. Have made this toy drive the largest toy donation to MD Anderson every year for the last 6. Totaling +6000 toy donations in 2011. This could not be done without your generosity. - Thank you.

- More importantly, the kids and families of MD Anderson thank you. As well has the hospital staff and volunteers.

- Houston Coffee & Cars! THANK YOU! Houston Performance Driving (HPD) & Performance Driving Network (PDN) is very excited to be working on this project. Houston Coffee & Cars IS* the biggest and best auto gathering in the Houston Area. With the exposure and energy building from the folks that attend Cars & Coffee. We are hoping to exceed last year's haul of +6000 toys, and provide MD Anderson with one GIANT Christmas present. Please take the time to thank all the Cars & Coffee staff, and all the toy drive volunteers.

II. Toy Driver Information:

- Where: Houston Coffee & Cars in Vintage Park.

III. Toy Drive Outline:

- Please attend Houston Coffee & Cars has normal. Get there between 6AM-9AM. The collection area will be blocked off for easy access. There will be (4) BG Product vans along with the HPD HQ. Also the media group "Wheel Time" will be broadcasting from the collection area.

- Once you are on the grounds of Vintage Park. Please walk over to the collection area to drop off your donation. Also remember MD Anderson T-Shirts will be available for purchase. ($20 each).

- Please take the rest of the time to enjoy the morning with friends and family. Savor the cars & coffee here in the Houston Area. Please take the time to thank any volunteers you see helping with the toy drive.

- Broadcasting will end at noon "Wheel Time" will broadcast the details of the event Coffee & Cars. Plus interview key coordinators and donors. Please turn on your car radio to 1650AM. Enjoy the show!

- Get home safe and be proud of your actions for donating to this toy drive.

IV. Media Attention and Information:

- Every year this event gets bigger and bigger. Much of this is due to the media attention we get from our media partners such has: Performance Driving Network, 1560AM The Game radio show "In Wheel Time" with Don Armstrong and Mike Herzing, High Tech Corvette, and BG Products. These media partners will be filming and broadcasting LIVE from Vintage Park during the toy drive.

V. Toy Driver Sponsors and Supporters:

- Would you like to be a sponsor of the MD Anderson Toy Drive? Great! All we need is a donation of 10 toys. If you pledge to bring 10 toys to Houston Coffee & Cars during the toy drive (December 1st), before the T-Shirt Sponsor cut-off date (November 21st). We will have your forum, club, company, or family name printed on the event T-Shirt. These T-Shirts will be available for purchase at Coffee & Cars to help further purchase more toys.
