I just got this from Autoweek:

Craziest Nissan Skyline yet

Nissanís NISMO folks are launching the craziest version of the mighty R34 Skyline GT-R, the Z-tune. Z-tune fea-tures 500 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque from a totally reworked 2.8-liter race-bred engine (up from a 2.6-liter). Other modifications include carbon fiber front bumper, hood, front fenders and chassis reinforcements. We hear theyíre building only 20 of these for worldwide sale and they go on sale Dec. 20 for $166,000. call NISMO overseas sales department (tel. 011 81-3-3767-1930) for more info.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone got $166,000 I could borrow???

That's what I thought... Is the car street legal? I can't imagine a highly tuned RB28 would pass emissions if the normal RB26 couldn't.

The normal RB26 can pass emissions, as long as it is an OBD0 or OBD1 car. I know that Jim wolf is adapting a 96 300zxtt ecu to fit on the r34 so that it will be OBD2.

you're the 2nd person in the past month who is "looking for a Z-tune GTR." you're either very rich and powerful or you are completely unaware of what a Z-Tune is.

forget it. there were 20 made and they were all pre-bought.
