Hey,

I'm Ted, glad to be here. I'm currently driving an '03 bby Evo ( and past 300ZX owner), just like most of you I hope the Skyline/ GTR that's coming to our shores will be as much if not more fun than the Evos that most of us are driving right now.

Well, I guess to know me better is to know a little bit about my Evo....it's a daily driver with 40k+ miles on it, mods includes..... 272 in/ex cams, AEM ems, 3.5 bar map w/ait sensor, custom 3" upper ic pipe, HKS intake, tial bov, dnp manifold/O2 housing, 3"tb:(rmr dp, works mid-pipe & axle back, rnr racing cat),walbro 255s, hallman mbc (26lbs), smc alky spray kit, 93 oct. handling/braking mods.....mitsu alloy front stb, cusco: rear sway bar, trunk bar, cf rear stb. ferodo pads, goodridge ss brake lines, stop tech slotted rotors. Drive Train mods....fidanza flywheel/act clutch combo. Misc.....vis cf hood, trunk batts relocation kit, cf front lower lip, perrin shorty antenna, misu: gauges, alloy sport pedals, alloy shift knob/e-brake handle, apexi turbo timer, cf engine covers, stillway engine dampener. Shoes.....advan tc II 18x9, oz suprleggera 18x8.5 (with 245/40 nitto 555 & falken respectively)

Results by the numbers:

11.7....1/4 m with alky @ 26lbs/93 oct...383whp/384 wtq
12.3.....1/4m w/o alky @ 21lbs/93 0ct...360whp/344 wtq

Custom tuning/installations by:

Mark, Jeff, and the crew of Turbo Trix, Edison NJ

Custom fabrications by:

Marcus Acosta of Acostamotorsport, Wallington NJ

Thanks,

Ted

Hey guys! New to the site. Thought I would drop a line in the newbie section and say Hi. :) I guess the good news lately is about the new skyline GTR in a few years. Can't wait to check it out. Well, I'll be here, probably posting in a few other forums around the site, as I'm doing some homework on getting my hands on a legally imported '96 Skyline GTR for personal use and enjoyment. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. New member here just saying hello. I wonder how many members have Evos right now? It will be interesting to see if those Evo owners lose interest in the USDM GT-R if it isn't AWD. :D

New guy

waz up guys, Iīm new here on the forum.
i drive a R32 GTR-94 in silver, a 96 Toyota Supra TT and a 2003 Escalade as a daily driver.
the GTR is completely stock, not even a aftermarket exhaust!
currently looking to buy a R34 GTT, planning on building the car into a Streetdrifter:D

my latest project is trying to find a way to bring my cars (especially the GTR) with me to California next year as iīm moving over from SWEDEN, not the easiest thing

bonzelite 11-11-2005 04:45 PM

you have 2 options:

1. have RBMotoring or MotoRex legalize it for you (about USD$16,000).

2. forget it.

those are your only legal and clean choices. and i see you must be very wealthy --you want, too, an R34 GTT in California. welp, you have only 2 options for that:

1. have RBMotoring or MotoRex buy and legalize it for you (about USD$40,000 - $80,000).

2. forget it.

and you want to keep the Supra, the GTR, the Caddy, and you want another Skyline. and you want to move to California. you are very successful at ---something. congratulations. see you in Cali. you're going to the right place for hot cars.

gaijin 11-12-2005 02:50 PM

legalizing GTRīs

thanx for the advise but; was in contact with RB-motoring yesterday and the guy couldnīt give me an answer. his advise was: "we cant help you at the moment but, give us a call in a month or two and weīll see". strange?
Motrex are apparently so busy they canīt find time answering the phones:smilieth ,
would be more than happy to pay 16-20k to get the GTR registered:) , itīs worth every cent!!

are really Motrex and RB-motoring the only that can help us Skyline "addicts" out?

the Supra iīll probably leave at home in Sweden, as a "vacation-car" when iīm back to visit friends and family.:D

oh yeah, the lord has been good to me in that sence, blessing me and allowing me to do things that i like in life.
just canīt wait to get over there and enjoy the southern cali sun and tearing up the streets:D

more than happy to add pics but cant seen to find out how.

thanx

yes RB and MtrX are only ones. you can do it yourself, but you need to know inside info and hookups. it can be done. but the only legally "easy" way is to pay MtrX. and if you go to Gardena personally and walk into MtrX you will get a response. calling them is a waste of time. they never return emails or phone calls. ever. they're "too cool" for all of us. you can visit their booth at D1GP as well, and they will be there.

also, RBMotoring IS MotoRex. same company, virtually.

gaijin 11-13-2005 05:47 AM

oh:squint:

a bit hard to "walk in " to their office since iīm a rew 1000 miles away;)
but its a must next time iīm in cali.

thanx

Hello. I'm Leonard in Minnesota and I drive an Audi S4. Previous cars include a Celica GT4 CSLE (ST-185H), Corolla GT (AE86) and a Celica GT (TA-22).

I have lusted after GT-Rs since I laid eyes on the R-32. The new GT-R looks promising so I hope to join the ranks of GT-R owners soon. :smilie_th

Hayashi Drift 11-16-2005 10:08 AM

Hi, fellow GTR enthusiasts,

My name is Ryo, and I'm from MA. I've always loved the Nissan Skyline car line since I loved reading about it, in the 80's, looking thru Motor Trend. I always wondered why we never get the fun cars. :D I currently own a 90 Nissan 240sx hatchback with a full spoiler kit, looks tastefully done and subtle, NOT ricey. lol. I am also in negotiations to try to import a 1994-95 Skyline GTS-T from Nagoya, Japan. Gotta find suitable storage and try to work out shipping, customs, and all the other fun stuff. Heheh. My girlfriend owns a 1987 Toyota MR2, that she is restoring lil by lil. I also wanna say thanks for letting me join this fine community of automotive enthusiasts. Whether they be Nissan or not. :smilie_th

cris45 01-10-2006 05:25 AM

I am called Christophe, I am 27 years old I live in France and I lead Peugeot 206RC. I am informing me to import a NISSAN R32 GTR or NISSAN R32 GTST of the United Kingdom

What's up

Sup guys, I am currently living in Germany and drive a 99 R34 GTR. It is silver and pretty standard apart from the Kei Office coilovers, Kakimoto N-1 full exhaust, 13 row Grex cooler and a 320 KPH Nismo speedo. I also have carbon garnish on the b pillars and clear indicators.

The car is a blast to drive here and I get alot of looks, even the Porche fellas try to eye ball me. To the best of my knowledge there are only a couple R34's in the country. I have seen several R32's and R33's. I guy here just sold a 97 TK R33...it was a sweet ride! I moved here from Japan in Nov of 04 and brought the car with me.

PS, the Nurburgring is a hoot for real in a GTR!!!:D :D

Sonzilla 05-02-2006 02:52 PM

Hi

Hi everyone at GTR Forums, I'm 25 and I've been a Nissan enthusiast, SCCA - PCA enthusiast. I work as a car tuner for Porsche's and on some other German vehicles. I've done some crazy motor swaps as you can see in my homepage that's one of them.
My next project I would like to accomplish near 2008 is to convert the G35 to AWD with the RB as the heart. So if anyone here has any suggestions please feel free to post up.
I'm also a parts distributer for domestic and foreign cars here in Florida so if you need a part you can contact me via PM.

Thanks..

Hi, I'm Nico from Cebu, Philippines but originally from Southern Cali. I just got my gunmetal grey '92 GT-R last Saturday. It came with some ugly 17" advan rims, and an aftermarket exhaust... don't know the brand though. I've been scraping everywhere here in our bad roads :( Already got some scratches on my front lip spoiler

Anyway, i'm new in the tuning game, what should be the first thing i should do?? Right now, i'm changing the steering wheel and shift knob... that should add around 15 horsepower, right? haha!!

bonzelite 05-08-2006 11:04 PM

change the ugly wheels.

soldau777 05-29-2006 01:52 PM
