I want one as well, we'll see what the prices look like when they come out. I am a Network Engineer in Minneapolis / St. Paul.

I would buy one but dealer markups turn me off...Looks like a 12 month wait is what is needed....:-0
2010 GTR for me....Too bad greedy dealers will destroy initial sales..

Can Nissan do something about dealer price gouging??

sacker 02-14-2008 02:21 PM

i will wait for MSRP plus i dont like to buy the first year of a new model anyway especially with such a high tech, high performance car

i doubt there will be that many problems just because they have been making it for so many years already. I could be wrong though

Nissan made a release regarding this and their plan. Officially, they will not tell a dealer what they can and cannot sell it for. However, all sales must be made by the manager and all orders must be sent t the regional office for monitoring and advisory. The underlying message of this is that nissan is checking the sale price and deposit put on every GTR and "advising" on whether its too much. I assume that if a dealer gouges badly, it will be strongly frowned upon and probably affect future allotments. From what I understand, they do not have a problem with the 5-15k markups for now
