aRE YOU ready???

go4gr8 01-31-2008 01:03 PM

Hi! Newbie and second post. I'm not sure yet whether I'd want a GTR so someone please sell it to me. :D

I've got an Infiniti G-Coupe on order that has yet to come. I may cancel it depending on how hot I am for this GT-R thang. ;)

darstar007 01-31-2008 04:22 PM

I WANT one, but can't afford it $20K + over MSRP. I'm a computer guru in Silicon Valley.

LSR 02-04-2008 04:08 PM

I will get one at MSRP only, so that said, I may have to wait awhile, but will keep shopping for that MSRP deal.

scherejs 02-04-2008 04:18 PM

Only at MSRP as well. I'm a mortgage banker.

GTRNate 02-04-2008 06:17 PM

I will wait and purchase one only at MSRP as well. I'm in the military and currently stationed in Japan. So I get to see the new GTR's driving around town every now and then. Pictures do the GTR no favor, in person the car is absolutely gorgeous and beastly looking at the same time. Also, they look to be very drivable in the busy Tokyo streets.

Cheers:smilie_th ,

-Nate

hamdog 02-08-2008 08:30 PM

Residential real estate sales. After talking to half the dealers in the country today, I think I'll be paying over sticker. How much? Who knows.

I am in Woodbury.

rastmp 02-14-2008 06:50 AM

I would buy one but dealer markups turn me off...Looks like a 12 month wait is what is needed....:-0
2010 GTR for me....Too bad greedy dealers will destroy initial sales..

Can Nissan do something about dealer price gouging??

sacker 02-14-2008 02:21 PM

i will wait for MSRP plus i dont like to buy the first year of a new model anyway especially with such a high tech, high performance car

GTRwannabe 02-14-2008 04:33 PM

i doubt there will be that many problems just because they have been making it for so many years already. I could be wrong though

Nissan made a release regarding this and their plan. Officially, they will not tell a dealer what they can and cannot sell it for. However, all sales must be made by the manager and all orders must be sent t the regional office for monitoring and advisory. The underlying message of this is that nissan is checking the sale price and deposit put on every GTR and "advising" on whether its too much. I assume that if a dealer gouges badly, it will be strongly frowned upon and probably affect future allotments. From what I understand, they do not have a problem with the 5-15k markups for now
