I daily drove my R33 Vspec with zero issues and the new GTR should be much more refined than that. I see no reason why it would not be ever bit as daily driveably than say a 911 or any other high end sports car. Probably mor refined than a Z06 as well. Would bet on better gas mileage too.

The Z06 gets 25-26mpg easily. This would be a difficult task to beat significantly.

:)

well seeing as im probably gonna trade in my daily driver to put towards a down payment on the gt-r along with the money i would have saved up by the time i have my alti paid off i dont really have a choice other than to use the gt-r as my daily driver which doesnt sound all that bad to me as long as i drive it conservatively. besides that im gonna be moving onto a better paying and much closer job here pretty soon so i may be able to get the gt-r even sooner than expected :D

I plan on using this car as a daily driver. From the pictures it looks like this car isn't ridiculously low to the ground so thats good because ground clearance is pretty important. If it comes with a paddle shift tranny that will make daily driving easier and if you need both hands you could switch it to automatic. I don't think the suspension will be too stiff as this car is being sold in America and most Americans don't want a really harsh suspension. The car also has small backseats which is a huge plus to me as I usually throw people in the back for small trips back and forth.

wow, i hadnt even heard it was gonna be a 2+2 coupe, thats freakin awesome! definitely gonna be a daily driver for me :D

bonzelite 06-28-2007 08:05 PM

all GT-Rs are 2+2 seaters since day one.

Yup, I'm very excited about this car. Although I still feel like it will be slightly behind the Vette Z06 in terms of performance, it will make up for it in its technology, refinement, and practicality. The back seats are a must for me. Plus the fact that AWD makes such a difference when talking about these high output cars. The Z06 is a b!tch to launch on the street. My dad used to have a 997 Turbo and even with the 500tq I could still launch the thing damn hard and get to 60 under 4 seconds. I'm expecting the same with the GT-R.
