id be SHOCKED if there was any trash talking being done in a corvette forum about the GTR these days.

i mean what would you say??

uhhhhhhh.... our car comes in automatic!!!!

So I'm a "ricer" eh? :lol: Call me what you will.

I doubt you have a Z06, so just stop. Why wouldn't you have listed that as your car (as opposed to your daddy's "ricer" accord)? Oh and congrats on the drivers license though...that's really quite the accomplishment for someone of your caliber.

As far as you being shocked...get ready to be shocked: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=2063806

And last but not least, you consider the GTR to be an automatic? So I guess indy cars and many other race cars are also "automatics" as you say? Bwaaaaha!!

Get used to what the tail-lights look like on the GTR, because that is all you're gonna see on the track.:waglleybo

Keep on posting here. It's entertaining. I rarely get to see someone so ignorant on this site...people like YOU make the corvette look bad. Other than your association with it, it's a nice car.

This guy is just ignorant man. No point in responding to someone who says apples taste like oranges.

Ignorance is bliss and its name is Congoman775.

Simple as that.

actualy i too enjoy the engagement. thus my continuation.

and if i had listed my Car as a Z06 do you think i could have come into this forum without immediately being labeled a Corvette man? HINT HINT- i came into this with the GTR as a prospective purchase.

ahhh-derh.

and yes. let me quote the Nissan.com refferance to the GTR.

"Fully Automautic Shifting"

God you guys should really inform Nissan that they screwed up!!!

Let me show you how Math works..

GTR = 7:29
Z06 = 7:43
ZR1 = 7:26
You think they will make a Spec V.. Which IS THE SAME CAR!.. with more horsepower and Lighter parts and better design.. AND MAKE IT SLOWER!??!? what is wrong with you? when your heard the ZR1 was coming out did u think it was gonna run slower the Z06? how stupid are your really?? because im waiting for another retarded post by you that makes no sense at all now..

SPEC V > ZR1 deal with it... Its not even out and everyone knows it will beat the ZR1 because like the post before this one SAYS! 1 + 1 . SIMPLE MATH

ZR1 is 3 seconds faster then a car that is 3900 pounds and has 180 less HP.. Wait till the Spec V hands Chevy its ass .

What about these numbers from Aug C&D Review?
GTR 1/4 mile 12.6 @ 111mph
Z06 11.9 @124mph

GTR 0-150 26.6 seconds
Z06 0-150 17.9 seconds

NINE seconds slower to 150.... it looks like its gonna take a lot more than a Vspec to keep up with a normal Z06. Maybe Nissan should put a US production GTR on the ring.
Remember what I told you about the ACR viper??
Looks like I was right again
Viper 1:55
GTR 2.01

You bring up good and valid points, however the GTR IMO is not a good dragster...Yeah it can launch, but carrying AWD in a straight line just isn't impressive. On the other hand, put several turns in the quarter mile and the GTR is all over it (not to say that the vette is aweful at slaloming though...).

So if the Z06 has a 9sec advantage in accelerating (about 1-2sec while on a track on the straights) then why is it 13 sec slower than the gtr? There is proof that the car does a sub 12sec time. There is a video online of a guy doing it in 11.8 at 121mph on US soil.

Car & Driver has tested 4 GTR's now and the results are not good. They have times all over the place for 0-60 and 1/4 mile.

The GTR, with launch control, semi-auto dual clutch gearbox and AWD should be the most consistent 0-60 and 1/4 mile car around. Not to mention the sophisticated engine management computer which should keep a very tight reign on engine operating conditions (also meaning power outputs from GTR's should be very close under the same conditions).

My grandma should be able to get the exact same times as a professional driver. There's no skill involved or required except to put your foot down and go.

It's the earlier press cars that are faster than the latest, production (for sale in US) cars.

Why do you think this is?
