Owner running 11.67 1/4 mile

A vid of some guy running 11.67 in his GT-R. My only concern is the trap speed. None the less still impressive.

wow that's fast!

CharlesJ 02-22-2008 12:17 PM

It doesnt look that wildly fast pas the half way mark, but damn its it fast off the line

Spade 02-22-2008 03:31 PM

thats a beast. was that a 240SX against it?

winkie 02-22-2008 04:44 PM

From a dig this car is amazing...

sentrazac 02-22-2008 04:46 PM

Yeah, that was a 240sx. Hard to REALLY tell how fast it was out of the hole since the 240 got such a terrible start. But I agree, approx 111 mph does seem slow for an 11.67 1/4

weird conditons? that's way too slow for an 11.7

I agree I ran an 11:7 the first time I went to the track with my 07 Z06 and the trap speed on that run was 125.10mph. So something is not right. The other vid from Edmonds had the GT-R with a trap speed of 121mph in the 1/4mile.

I think he hit the rev limiter or something else went wrong! I hope so!

After some investigation I think it is safe to conclude that that is a Japanese model GTR with the top speed limited to 112, the GPS limits the car to 112 in Japan and 155 US spec. That strip is located somewhere in Austrailia, so it would not be an idea that out there to consider, which only makes you think what it would do past that speed.
