new guy

Hey guy's names Steve and I just ordered a 90 R32 GTR with n' RB26dett.. :smilie_th
I'm interested in these cars highly but I have no idea where to shop for performance parts and or exterior parts for this thing. I haven't been able to really find anything probley because I live in the USA i'm assuming? Anyway id like to make this thing fast.. atleast 5-600awhp and Id also like it to look a bit nicer also so If anyone can point me to some great sites for performance/exterior parts that I can get shipped to my country and or already here because i've found nothing... Anyway any help would be great thanks guys

welcome

congratulations and welcome to the house. browse around and many of your queries can be answered, or at least 1/2 answered. maybe 1/3 answered :smilie_th

you've made a good choice of automobile. it will bring you years of enjoyment and sacrifice. but well worth it. try RBMotoring. they can tune cars. but they're in socal.

it will bring you years of enjoyment and sacrifice. but well worth it.

lol you don't have to tell me about sacrifice, i'm coming into the GT-R community from the DSM community they're the biggest POS's you can own but so much fun. :D ty for the welcome and i'll check out that site, i dont think i'll go their tho socal is about 3000 mi. away from me lol

well, i have a VR-4. not a DSM officially but might as well be.

insofar as tuner shops with JDM hookups and such, you'd have to go to shows and get yourself into those circles of people. that is really the only way, honestly, to save on parts and shipping. you've got to have homies teach you their secret handshake; that is the only way i got my GTR and subsequent services. if you go in through the front door for this kind of thing, you're just another customer.

what will save you, sort of, is that you actually have a skyline. that alone will open doors for you, as many people will claw at the chance to be part of it's tuning history.

i'm sure you already know all of this. so just apply what you know to the skyline. and cheers again :)

Too tell you the truth I think a majority of my parts I am going to purchase from JUN. Id like to do a stroker kit and go with 1 hugh single turbo setup so i'm doing my research now other than that I guess i'll just hit up the car shows... I just purchased a set of Nismo LM GT4 Black Limited II rim's to replace the R34 wheels and also 1 of those pass. side vented headlights so i'm modding already. :D Skylines are quite rare tho here in the states as far as I know I am the only one in Pennsylvania with one at the moment but that's not such a bad thing ;)

great choice in wheels.

so you're going to drag race the car? your setup ideas sound like drag strip mods to me.

3barGSX 09-30-2006 05:18 AM

Yea i'd like to go for a drag setup but I also want to keep it streetable. I want a very quick responsive setup that'll perform well on the track but even better on the street.

bonzelite 09-30-2006 02:43 PM

then you want more of a street setup, then? the two worlds are often entirely different. it seems that you want a great street car that can happen to drag race fairly well as an added bonus?

Exactly! :smilie_th
