We found some patents spt. Go check them out, they are in the thread GTR performance on my forums. i cant copy and paste here, so I have to write it out.

Why would nissan file for "nissan GTR" in the US in 2002?

they also filed for an extension on 08-10-2004

I found another request also made on March 12 2002 for "nissan GTR" in australia

However what puzzles me is that in australia they also registered "Infiniti GTR"

On a side note "infiniti R spec" is filed by nissan on DEC 10, 2002 meaning that we can expect the R SPEC parts talked about in the 2001 press release quoted below.
