Want to order GTR need some assurance advice

This is new for me and probably for the Nissan Dealer as well.

10K over sticker 5K deposit for delivery by the end of the year.
I think this is as good as it is going to get, unless I want to wait till the end of '09
What is your opinion?

What color, I think black on black, I heard some colors are slowing down delivery...

I would need an escape clause so they can not deliver whenever they feel like it.

Do I need a confirmation from Nissan NA?

Any advice is welcome :smilie_th

You just need a sign contract for when they will deliver by and what price they will sell it at. If they try to raise the price or purposely delay delivery, you can sue with a signed contract. For the hell of it, you may also want it notarized which is easy since every dealership has at least one notary and usually many.

I could not get anything solid. :(

Maybe Feb delivery; I could not justify 10K over, who knows how many there are (Or not.) available by next year as Nissan ramps up production..plus the car I really want is the Spec-V as it will be used on the track, more than on the street.
I do not mind waiting, but not for 10K over, the whole point of paying over MSRP to have one of the first ones, not 7 months (Maybe!) after the first ones.

Nissan is impossible here in South Florida, cheezy sales guy who know nothing, seem to think you have to come in to be bullsxxxxet some more instead of doing something over the phone.
I left many messages and voicemails on sales managers phones, only got one call back, sold out for 20K over....

None of them ever even heard of the Spec-V, I have patiently explained to everyone who wanted to listen that I am happy to leave a deposit for it, just to receive the first phone call for when it arrives and if they still know nothing in 24 months they can give me the deposit back.

I called a Porsche dealer, 5 hours driving away and he faxed me a guaranteed MSRP on a '09 / '10GT3 RS and took my deposit over the phone, very pleasent all.

It would have been nice to have the GTR in July to hold me over until the RS, but I think I was too late, but I would like to go after the Spec-V.

The car is just fantastic :smilie_th , the dealers on the other hand seem a bit overwhelmed by it :smilieth Maybe Infinity would have done better

Can anyone help me here who has a good experience with a Nissan dealer?

Preferably if you have put in a deposit at MSRP that will be tested in July or so, I would also put in a deposit now and know by July if they will honor yours.
I figure if they honor is on the GTR they also will for the Spec-V. :D

No problem buying out of state...

There would have been less cheesy salespeople at infiniti, that's for sure...
