Edmunds.com Article 2/6

A few interesting things in this article, definitely worth the read...

The most interesting in my opinion:

"Harrison says the company expects a U.S. sales volume for the GT-R of 2,500 units in the first full year, followed by sales of about 1,500 a year afterwards. He emphasized that the 2,500 was a sales number, not a production number. "The 2,500 number is not a production cutoff," Harrison said. "We haven't determined whether or not we'll do that [cut off sales at a certain point].""

Nice find and thank you.

I am very happy with what the Nissan camp is doing to try and stop and/or reduce the dealer price gouging. For us consumers dealing with management is a much better solution, rather than dealing with the sometimes shady car salesmen whom work on a commission and aren't used to dealing with a car in this price range or of this magnitude. Quite simply put some of the salesmen might be capable but most are just trying to squeeze every last cent out of the customer. BTW, If you haven't noticed I hate dealing with car salesmen. I find that most of the time they don't know nor care to know about the product in which they are selling. This irritates me to no end. Before I even look at a car, I research it as much as possible, so I generally know more about it than any of them. I think that makes me an automobile enthusiast.

I will say that this doesn't apply to the BMW dealerships that I have visited. They have been very straight forward and knowledgeable of their products in my experiences.

End rant....

Very interesting article. Would be interesting to hear what they consider gouging.
