rb26 quad turbo (2x TT)
so iv been reading some posts on the net and found some people interested in quad turbo for rb. they say its not gonna happen and that its bulky, well heres my idea on how to make that happen.
think about the stock tt setup. now place that setup on 1 side of the engine and another on the other side. you get 2 turbos running at all times, consequentially lowering lag but increasing boost. also dry sump the motor and widen the front should work lol. the turbos can be modified or replaced w/ diff type, a good intercooler and rad. ecu and fuel pump. might work lemme know wat u think |
10 points for being creative but, sadly there is a long list of reasons why it's far more trouble than its worth.

The easiest way to decrease lag is go for larger displacement. Stroker kit or RB26/30 hybrid (RB26 head and RB30 bottom end).

Goodluck with the exhaust manifold. :)

This idea would be great as a one time, money is no object, just to see how it comes out kind of thing.
But, it just doesn't seem necessary with the boundless performance offerings that 2 turbos already offer. As stated earlier ridiculous costs and serious complications would most likely hamper any progress on this project. But A++ for the idea... -Nate |
turbo lag will be ridiculous.. not something i would do.
